Adoption Process

  1. Application

We require all prospective puppy buyers to fill out an application. This helps us get to know you!

2. Consultation

Once we receive your application we set up a phone or video call. This allows us to answer any questions you have about our program and determine if we’re the right fit for you.

3. Deposit

We require a $300 non-refundable deposit to reserve a puppy that is currently available or from a future litter.

4. Puppy Questionnaire

Each of our buyers receives a Puppy Preferences Questionnaire after placing their deposit. This lets us know what gender, color, and personality traits you’re looking for in your new pup, and we use this information to place the right puppy with each buyer. Golden Retrievers have general traits, but every puppy is different. By evaluating puppies from birth, we’re able to choose the perfect puppy for you.

5. Developmental Period

When puppies are born they spend their first eight weeks of life with their mother and siblings. During this time they grow and learn many valuable puppy skills.

6. Puppy Visit

When puppies reach six weeks old and have had their first round of vaccinations we invite our buyers to come out and meet their puppy. We schedule buyers in thirty minute time blocks to give you a private moment to meet your new best friend.

7. Final Payment/Pick-up

At eight weeks of age puppies are ready for their new homes. Final payment is due on or before pick-up day. We send each puppy home with a starter bag of puppy food, a clean bill of health from our veterinarian, and a toy that smells like their littermates,
